Global Sustainability Project Bootcamps
The interdisciplinary, project-based Bootcamp that thousands
have done to learn how to tackle global sustainability challenges!
Our goal is make our fully-virtual Bootcamps accessible to learners from diverse disciplines, backgrounds and geographies. For that reason, we work with faculties and schools at dozens of university and colleges around the world to cover the costs for their students (search to see if yours is already partnered). We're also working with a growing number of corporate partners to provide opportunities for their early career professionals.
You can absolutely participate, even if your school/faculty or company is not currently a partner! After you apply, we'll share guidance and support on ways you might get your organisation involved, as well as on other funding sources you might explore. We also run a lottery ahead of every Bootcamp to grant a small number of partial and full scholarships; any accepted learners who have been unable to cover the cost in other ways are automatically entered.

What is our Global Sustainability Project Bootcamp?

During our intensive virtual bootcamps, students from across disciplines and higher education institutions work together to tackle a challenge faced by a real community somewhere across the world. All our bootcamps are based on the highly-acclaimed How to Change the World course at University College London (UCL), which runs annually for over 1000 students.
How will gaining sustainability skills support your career?
Since 2017, there has been a 36-fold increase in companies setting sustainability targets. The bad news? Only 17% of these companies say they have employees with the skills they need to start even making progress towards reaching these targets. The good news? Millions of jobs are being created specifically to focus on nature-positive solutions.
You have the passion and drive to tackle sustainability challenges but you need experiential opportunities that provide the skills and hands-on experience that companies are looking for. Our bootcamps equip you with these mindsets, frameworks and skills through practical, real-world experience.

All university & college students – from first-year undergrad to PhD – along with recent graduates and early-career professionals are warmly welcome to apply and participate.
We aim to review and respond to all applications within two weeks, though at peak periods it can take up to four weeks.
Available spots in our Bootcamps are allocated on first-come-first-served basis, moderated by considerations of diversity.
Once a given Bootcamp is full, additional approved applicants will be put on the waitlist in case a spot becomes available.
